Until I get this new mazda6, I have driven a manual for 10 years. It's much more thrilling to drive a manual and the older autos always seemed clunky and had terrible shift points. Plus you can shift at redline if needed. In the beginning of owning my 6 I will smack the floor for awhile looking for the clutch lol.
